A remanufactured turbo is subjected to over 30 quality control tests until it is completed.
A hardness test, materials analysis, values measurement of up to 1 micron and checks of all the tolerances and regulation of the variable geometry are all carried out.
To balance the turbo, machinery approved by the major turbo manufacturers is used to simulate turbo performance in the engine, reaching 250,000 r.p.m. in some models. The turbos are also tested using an independent test bench to certify circuit watertightness and the absence of oil leaks.
